Keeping You and Our Staff Safe & Healthy
A naturally safe, outdoors location
As an island, Cyprus has had a low exposure to Covid-19, with under 950 recorded cases as of May 28th and 17 deaths. The risk of exposure to Covid-19 in the Marathasa valley is even lower, with its sparse population of just a handful of villages and vast areas of quiet forest and countryside.
Casale Panayiotis guest accommodation is dispersed throughout Kalopanayiotis village, with rooms opening directly to the great outdoors. There are no internal hotel corridors, and all the facilities, including reception, restaurants and spa, can be accessed from the outside. There is no need to use an elevator during your stay.
Additional Health & Safety Measures During the Covid-19 Pandemic
Our aim is to make your stay as safe and enjoyable as possible. As such, we have spared no effort to reduce the risk of infection and will be adopting a range of new measures to achieve this.
We have introduced a new Pandemic Management Team who have been fully briefed by our professional Health and Safety Consultants. This team is responsible for ensuring that all our employees are fully conversant with the new measures. All staff have been trained in the most effective hygeine procedures to use during their working hours and they have been provided with the correct PPE for their duties; all in accordance with WHO guidelines and national advice.
As a precautionary measure, all our front-line employees have been tested for Covid-19.
New procedures in the common areas: All areas of Casale Panayiotis will be thoroughly sprayed before the opening on 19th June. Hand sanitising gels will be placed at the entrance to all common areas, including restaurant, reception, elevator doors and public washrooms. Distance markers will be placed in the appropriate areas to remind guests of the required distance for effective social distancing. All door handles, tables and surfaces will be deep-cleaned and disinfected throughout the day.
New Check-in procedures. We have established a new reception area which will optimise social distancing at check-in. Check-in is fully automated and completely free of pen and paper. Guests will check-in using a tablet, which will be disinfected as it is given to the guest.
New Room hygiene procedures. The door to your room will be sealed with a ribbon before you enter, to reassure you that you will be the first to enter the room after it has been cleaned. Daily housekeeping will now be on-demand only, and will take place whilst you are out enjoying the fresh air or dining in our outdoors restaurant. The mini-bar will be fully stocked at check-in and only be refilled at your request. The housekeeping team are trained to ensure that your room is fully sanitised at each clean. All air-conditioners have been chemically cleaned.
New Restaurant procedures. We encourge eating all meals outdoors. All indoor restaurant areas will be subject to additional safety measures. We have re-organised our table layouts to offer the maximum space between tables. Cutlery and crockery will be sterlised and set on the table at the time that the guest arrives, to ensure everything is freshly clean. Breakfast will be served either outdoors to your table, or in luxurious breakfast baskets brought directly to your room to enjoy in total privacy.
New Spa procedures. The spa will be adopting additional health and safety measures, including reduced capacity in the Hydotherapy and Thermal Suites in pre-booked 2-hour time intervals, with 30 min in between each slot to allow for disinfection of the area. The Herbal Steam Bath will be out of use. Please arrive 30 minutes before your booked treatment time to allow sufficient time for registration and briefing on the new procedures. Only two people are permitted in the changing rooms at any time and they will be cleaned regularly throughout the day. A full list of procedures will be displayed at the Spa. We strongly advise pre-booking use of the spa facilities before your stay to avoid disappointment.
We apologise for any inconvenience these additional measures may cause during your stay, but we hope you will understand the seriousness with which we are taking the health and safety of our employees, guests and the local community that lives in Kalopanayiotis. Please note that the above measures are constantly being updated in line with directives from the Cyprus Ministry of Health, and may be subject to change at any time.
We are all looking forward to welcoming you!
